Huntington Beach

Huntington Beach is home to nearly 200,000 residents, many of whom enjoy a day at the beach.  Over 16 million visitors come to Huntington Beach each year.  Touted as the “Best City to Live In” by the Orange County Register in 2006, Huntington Beach residents enjoy many cultural amenities.  Traditional Fourth of July festivities, including a parade, multiple sport competitions and many fantastic areas to walk, jog and bike make Huntington Beach a popular choice for families.

Huntington Beach is commonly referred to as “Surf City” and surfing legends can be seen through a stroll along the Surfing Walk of Fame, or through a visit to the Surfing Hall of Fame and the International Surf Museum.

People aren’t the only surfers in Huntington Beach.  The popular local Dog Beach allows canines the opportunity to catch a wave or a ball while playing in the surf, as well.   Dogs (and their owners) also have another venue for entertainment at Dog Park in Central Park.   Huntington Beach residents also care about native wildlife and interacting with nature.  Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve allows five miles of protected wetlands for nature buffs who prefer to explore or enjoy a serene afternoon bird watching.  Huntington Beach information can be found here.
